Police calls for Friday, Sept. 28, 2018

Child abuse/neglect

• At 11:35 a.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department conducted a confidential investigation into the report of child abuse in the Juneau area.

Conditions violation

• At 1:10 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 1900 block of Allen Court to investigate the reported violation of a stalking protective order. Alcohol was a factor.

Death

• At 3:38 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 100 block of Savikko Road to investigate the report of an unattended death. Read more on Thursday’s A1 and in today’s paper. Investigation continues.

Disturbance

• At 11:37 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 5000 block of Douglas Highway to investigate the report of a disturbance in North Douglas. Alcohol was a factor. Investigation continues.

Domestic violence

• At 1:03 a.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested a 26-year-old man in the Juneau area for violating a protective order.

• At 9:18 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the report of an assault in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

Theft

• At 1:04 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 800 block of Front Street to investigate the report of a stolen boat engine. Investigation continues.

• At 1:47 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 300 block of Gastineau Avenue to investigate the reported theft of vehicle parts. Investigation continues.

• At 11:59 a.m. Wednesday, JPD cited and released Lisa Kuhr, 45, in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue for larceny of $50. Alcohol was a factor.

Trespassing

• At 6:09 p.m. Tuesday, JPD arrested Casey Muir, 32, in the 200 block of Franklin Street for criminal trespass. She was also charged with violating her conditions of release.

• At 6:42 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 1200 block of Glacier Drive to investigate the report of criminal trespassing. Investigation continues.

• At 5:33 a.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 8700 block of North Loop Way to investigate the report of a 39-year-old woman who reported her bicycle had been stolen. The bicycle was later recovered.

Vandalism

• At 4:07 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 9000 block of Atlin Drive to document vandalism to a church.

Vehicle rifling

• At 2:29 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 100 block of Savikko Road to investigate the report of an 83-year-old man who reported his car had been rifled.

Wildlife violations

• On Wednesday, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Juneau man William Palmer, 23, for hunting for waterfowl on the Mendenhall Wetlands without first obtaining a state duck stamp. Palmer was fined $85 in Juneau District Court.
