Police calls for Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018

Assault

• At 8:11 p.m. Thursday, the Juneau Police Department responded to the 2500 block of Vista Drive to investigate the report of an assault.

Burglary

• At 8:51 a.m. Friday, JPD responded to the 5800 block of Churchill Court to investigate the report of a burglary. Investigation continues.

Domestic violence

• At 7:39 p.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the report of a domestic disturbance in the Juneau area. Alcohol was a factor. Investigation continues.

• At 12:09 a.m. Friday, JPD arrested a 38-year-old man in the Juneau area for criminal mischief, assault, a conditions violation and resisting arrest. The man was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Fraud

• At 6:53 p.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 3000 block of Vintage Boulevard to investigate the report of fraudulent activity.

Sex crime

• At 1:43 p.m. Thursday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into a possible sexual offense in the Juneau area.

Shoplifting

• At 1:55 p.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 8700 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of a 39-year-old man who reported the theft of items from a business. Investigation continues.

Theft

• At 12:18 p.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 6900 block of Sunny drive to investigate the report of a 46-year-old woman who reported a black Bose speaker stolen from her residence. The speaker was worth an estimated $300.

• At 5:29 p.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 900 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the reported theft of a bicycle. Investigation continues.

• At 8:20 a.m. Friday, JPD responded to the 8400 block of Thunder Mountain Road to investigate the report of a theft from a residence. Investigation continues.

Warrant arrest

• At 3:20 p.m. Thursday, JPD arrested Wade Bowen, 27, in the 100 block of Seward Street for violating conditions of release.

Wildlife violations

• On Aug. 17, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers saw Juneau resident Raymond Jones, 26, snagging where prohibited at DIPAC, and discovered that Jones had obtained a resident 5A low-income license when he was not qualified. Jones was issued a $110 citation for snagging where prohibited and a $310 citation for making a false statement on a license application, and both were issued in the Juneau District Court.

• At about 9:35 p.m. Aug. 19, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers saw Juneau resident Moala Pasi, 60, casting a snagging hook within 150 feet of the Wayside Park Dock near DIPAC, which is closed to snagging. Troopers gave Pasi a $110 citation for snagging where prohibited, which was issued in the Juneau District Court.

• On Aug. 22, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers saw Juneau resident John Peterson, 64, attempting to snag salmon where prohibited at DIPAC. Troopers gave Peterson a $110 citation for snagging where prohibited, which was issued in the Juneau District Court.

• On Aug. 22, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers saw Juneau resident Gerald Voss, 59, casting into the waters closed to sport fishing near the DIPAC fish ladder. Troopers gave Voss a $110 citation for sport fishing in closed waters, which was issued in the Juneau District Court.
