Police calls for Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018

Assault

• At 1:05 a.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department arrested Beau John Byrne, 33, in the 200 block of Front Street for assault. Alcohol was a factor. Byrne was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Burglary

• At 11:47 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 5200 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of a 52-year-old man who reported a local business had been burglarized.

Domestic violence

• At 10:11 p.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested a 46-year-old man for criminal trespassing, domestic violence criminal mischief and resisting arrest in the Juneau area. Alcohol was a factor. The man was taken to LCCC.

Drug misconduct

• At 9:41 a.m. Wednesday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into drug use in the Juneau area.

Drunken driving

• At 5 p.m. Tuesday, JPD arrested Mark Adam Hutter, 32, in the Douglas area for driving while intoxicated. He was taken to LCCC and the car he was driving was impounded.

Fraud

• At 6:08 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the report of a 47-year-old man in the Juneau area who reported fraudulent activity.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 2:05 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 8100 block of Egan Drive to investigate a crash between a 2018 Chevy Malibu driven by a 56-year-old man and a 2014 Ford Escape driven by a 36-year-old man. Two people were taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital and treated for minor injuries.

• At 7:02 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 5200 block of Glacier Highway to investigate a 2002 Ford Explorer that had gone into a ditch. The driver had left the scene, and the car was impounded.

Sex crime

• At 4:57 p.m. Wednesday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into the reported sexual abuse of a minor in the Juneau area.

Shoplifting

• At 12:47 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 8100 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of a 21-year-old woman shoplifting from a business.

• At 1:34 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 5700 block of Concrete Way to investigate the report of a 38-year-old man shoplifting from a business.

Theft

• At 12:36 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 9100 block of James Boulevard to investigate the report of a 53-year-old woman who reported the theft and fraudulent use of checks.

• At 5:38 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the report of a 26-year-old man who reported the theft of a cat in the Juneau area.

• At 8:03 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 2800 block of Riverside Drive to investigate the report of a 35-year-old man who reported his backpack and credit cards were stolen, and then the credit cards were fraudulently used.

• At 11:03 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 200 block of Franklin Street to investigate the report of a 34-year-old man who reported a package was stolen.

Trespassing

• At 3:11 p.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to the 10600 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of a 57-year-old woman who reported that recently evicted tenants were trespassing on the property.

• At 7:43 a.m. Thursday, JPD cited and released Austin Davis, 37, in the 200 block of Franklin Street for trespassing.

• At 9:30 a.m. Thursday, JPD arrested Pamela Dawn Finney, 47, in the 1700 block of Glacier Avenue for trespassing and disorderly conduct. Finney was taken to LCCC.

• At 10:07 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 8100 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of a 24-year-old woman trespassing.

Vandalism

• At 8:28 a.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 9300 block of Turn Street to investigate the report of a 44-year-old man who reported his fence, car and boat were vandalized.

• At 5:36 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 9300 block of Turn Street to investigate the report of a 58-year-old woman who reported that her boat had been vandalized.
