Police calls for Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018

Child abuse/neglect

• At 12:44 p.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department conducted a confidential investigation into a report of child abuse in the Juneau area.

Fraud

• At 8 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 2200 block of Trout Street to investigate the report of a counterfeit bill. Investigation continues.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 9:04 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 9200 block of Long Run Drive to investigate the report of a single-vehicle accident. Damage only, no injuries.

• At 9:02 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the report of a crash in the 9100 block of Glacier Highway. Damage only, no injuries. Investigation continues.

Shoplifting

• At 4:35 p.m. Wednesday, JPD cited and released Candice Rourick, 41, in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway for larceny.

Theft

• At 3:51 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 6500 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of a stolen vehicle, which was later recovered.

• At 8:14 p.m. Wednesday, JPD cited and released Benjamin Lopez, 34, in the 300 block of Whittier Street for theft of services, for not paying a bar tab. Alcohol was a factor.

• At 11:57 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 1700 block of Crest Street to investigate the reported theft of a firearm. Investigation continues.

Trespassing

• At 8:52 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the 8500 block of Forest Lane to investigate the report of a man, 51, who reported a trespass.

Vandalism

• At 5:52 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 4300 block of Taku Boulevard to investigate the report of a hit-and-run involving property damage.

Vehicle rifling

• At 12:59 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 3800 block of Riverside Drive to investigate the report of vehicle rifling.

Warrant arrest

• At 3:05 a.m. Thursday, JPD arrested Sky Stubblefield, 27, in the 9900 block of Stephen Richard Memorial Drive on an outstanding $500 Alaska State Troopers warrant. Stubblefield was also charged with providing false information and was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held on $500 bail. JPD forwarded charges on Jonathan Debolt, 45, for first-degree hindering prosecution.
