Police calls for Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018

Fraud

• At 7:25 a.m. Thursday, the Juneau Police Department responded to the report of a man, 69, who reported fraud in the Juneau area.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 4:43 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a motor vehicle crash in the 8100 block of Egan Drive. There were no injuries, just damage.

Shoplifting

• At 3:21 p.m. Wednesday, JPD cited and released Kelsie Wiemer, 25, in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway for larceny.

Theft

• At 2:34 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the report of theft in the 300 block of Whittier Street.

• At 2:37 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the report of a man, 34, who reported a theft in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue.

• At 3:43 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the report of a woman, 59, in the 500 block of Eighth Street who reported the theft of a backpack from her porch. Video evidence identified a man, 38, who the woman recognized. JPD forwarded trespassing and larceny charges to the City Attorney’s Office.

• At 4:40 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to reports of gas thefts from the Twin Lakes area. Investigation continues.

• At 6:21 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the report of a man in the 1800 block of Shell Simmons Drive who reported his suitcase was stolen from his car at the Juneau International Airport. There are no leads or suspects.

• At 8:56 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the report of a man, 63, in the 3000 block of Vintage Boulevard who reported the theft of fuel.

Vandalism

• At 12:24 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the report of vandalism to a private vehicle in the parking lot of Fred Meyer. Investigation continues.

• At 1:40 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the report of a man, 55, at Sealaska Plaza who reported criminal mischief.

• At 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the report of a woman, 37, in the 500 block of Franklin Street who reported criminal mischief.

• At 9:26 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the report of a woman, 31, in the 9400 block of La Perouse Avenue who reported a tire on her vehicle was slashed.
