Police calls for Sunday, March 10, 2019

Burglary

• At 2:48 p.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department responded to the 3700 block of Amalga Street to investigate the report of a 70-year-old man who reported a person who might have entered his home.

Disturbance

• At 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 400 block of Willoughby Avenue to investigate multiple reports of shots fired. Police found no evidence of a crime in the area.

Drug misconduct

• On Wednesday, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers issued a summons to Juneau resident Robert Skoog, 36, who was found during a traffic stop to have methamphetamine in his 1995 Honda Accord. Skoog has a mandatory court appearance in Juneau District Court for fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.

Drunken driving

• At about 9 p.m. Feb. 28, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers arrested Juneau resident Paul Skan, 66, for driving under the influence. Troopers pulled over a 2000 Toyota 4-Runner driven by Skan for a moving violation on Glacier Highway near Sherwood lane. Skan was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and was later released on his own recognizance.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 7:59 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 9000 block of Mendenhall Loop Road to investigate the report of a 22-year-old man who reported another vehicle hit his Toyota 4Runner and left without leaving a note or contacting him. No injuries were reported.

Theft

• At 12:25 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road to investigate the report of a 55-year-old man who reported a vehicle tab sticker was stolen from a 2017 Honda CR-V.

• At 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 9400 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of a 40-year-old man who reported a watch was stolen from a business.

• At 4:23 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to the downtown area to investigate the report of a 44-year-old woman who reported her black Samsung cellphone, worth an estimated $150, was stolen.

Trespassing

• At 8:47 p.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested Casey Muir, 32, in the 200 block of Franklin Street for criminal trespassing. Muir was taken to LCCC.

• At 5:56 a.m. Thursday, JPD arrested Casey Muir, 32, in the 300 block of Whittier Street for criminal trespassing. Muir was taken to LCCC.

• At 10:39 a.m. Thursday, JPD arrested Casey Muir, 32, in the 100 block of Franklin Street for criminal trespassing. Muir was taken to LCCC.

Vandalism

• At 4:11 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 10700 block of Horizon Drive to investigate the report of a 70-year-old woman who reported vandalism to her 2018 Honda CR-V. Investigation continues.

Warrant arrest

• At 2:58 a.m. Thursday, JPD arrested Brandon Savell, 38, in the 700 block of Franklin Street on a $500 Juneau Alaska State Troopers warrant. Savell was taken to LCCC.

Wildlife violation

• On Tuesday, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers issued a summons to Juneau resident Kyle Montemayor, 30, for obtaining a resident commercial crewmembers license when he did not qualify as an Alaska resident at the time. He was arraigned in Juneau District Court on Thursday, according to electronic court records.

• On Thursday, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers cited Juneau resident Christian Villalobos, 22, for obtaining a 2016 resident sport fish license when he did not qualify as an Alaska resident. Villalobos was fined $310.
