Police calls for Sunday, March 18, 2018

Assault

• At 2:55 p.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department responded to the 8400 block of Canyon Drive to investigate the report of an assault. investigation continues.

Conditions violation

• At 2:52 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the report of the violation of a domestic violence protective order in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

• At 10:13 a.m. Thursday, JPD took Oleksandr Kryvoruchko, 30, to Lemon Creek Correctional Center for being in violation of pretrial conditions. Kryvoruchko was found in a car in the 300 block of Second Street, and the driver of the car, 28-year-old Pavel Bogatko, was cited and released for driving without a license. The car was impounded for 72 hours.

Drug misconduct

• At 11:15 a.m. Thursday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into drug activity in the Juneau area.

Fraud

• At 12:49 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 5900 block of Lund Street to investigate the report of a fraud. Investigation continues.

Theft

• At 12:01 a.m. Thursday, JPD arrested Gabriel Falzarano, 37, and Stephen Haseltine, 33, in the 1700 block of Anka Street for second-degree theft, second-degree attempted theft and first-degree criminal trespass. They were taken to LCCC.

Vandalism

• At 2:03 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive to investigate the report of a man, 44, who reported vandalism to his car that caused an estimated $300 in damage.

Vehicle rifling

• At 2:41 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to the 3400 block of Tongass Boulevard to investigate the report of a vehicle rifling where the car’s window was broken and a purse was stolen. Investigation continues.

Warrant arrest

• At 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested Barry Ellsworth, 40, in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court, according to online court records. Ellsworth’s original charge is first-degree burglary, according to online court records. He was taken to LCCC.
