Police calls for Tuesday, April 30, 2019

Assault

• At 6:30 p.m. Friday, a 38-year-old woman reported being assaulted by a 54-year-old man several times over the past week in Douglas. Investigation continues.

Assist

• At 4:40 p.m. Friday, the Juneau Police Department assisted a 49-year-old man, 22-year-old man and 24-year-old woman resolve a civil dispute over property damage on Sealaska Plaza.

Child abuse/neglect

• At 4:26 p.m. Friday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into possible child abuse in the Juneau area.

Criminal trespass

• At 12:09 p.m. Friday, Michael James Hoyt, 40, was arrested for criminal trespass in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• At 12:35 p.m. Friday, a 45-year-old woman reported a 40-year-old man trespassed at a business in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.

Death

• At 7:16 p.m. Friday, JPD investigated a report of a death of a 67-year-old man in the 1400 block of Harbor Way. Next of kin has been notified.

Drug misconduct

• At 12:12 a.m. Saturday, a 16-year-old boy was arrested for misconduct involving controlled substances in the third degree in the 3100 block of Dimond Park Loop, and he was taken to Johnson Youth Center.

Open lewdness

• At 4:33 p.m. Friday, Julio Arellano Reyes, 22, was arrested for open lewdness in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway, and he was taken to LCCC.

Reckless driving

• At 1:11 p.m. Friday, Bradley Bethel, 31, was cited and released for reckless driving in the 6500 block of Egan Drive.

Theft

• At 12:45 p.m. Friday, a 54-year-old man reported a 48-year-old man stole keys from inside his residence in the 300 block of Gastineau Avenue.

• At 10:38 a.m. Saturday, Dione William, 48, was arrested for shoplifting at a business in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway and was taken to LCCC.

Trespass

• At 2:52 a.m. Saturday, a 71-year-old man reported an unknown person entered a building in the 9000 block of Atlin Drive and stole food items. The suspect wasn’t in the area when officers arrived.

Warrant arrest

• At 10:37 a.m. Saturday, 45-year-old Eddy Renee Rodriguez was arrested in the 1100 block of Thane Road on an outstanding $1,000 warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on the original charge of assault in the third degree. She was additionally charged with resisting arrest, assault of a police officer and violating conditions of release.
