Police calls for Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018

Assault

• At 1:26 p.m. Friday, the Juneau Police Department responded to the report of an assault in the 100 block of Franklin Street. Alcohol was a factor. Investigation continues.

• At 7:16 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the report of assault in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway. Investigation continues.

• At 7:44 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the report of an assault in the 1800 block of Northwood Drive. Alcohol was a factor. Investigation continues.

• At 8:24 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the report of assault in the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive.

• At 9:01 a.m. Saturday, JPD arrested Archie Hunt, 28, in the 400 block of Willoughby Avenue for assaulting a 49-year-old man. Alcohol was a factor. Hunt was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held on $1,000 bail.

Driving while intoxicated

• At 10:37 a.m. Saturday, JPD arrested Rachael Carlson, 31, in the 6500 block of Egan Drive for driving under the influence of controlled substances other than alcohol. The vehicle she was driving was impounded.

• At 5:27 a.m. Sunday, JPD arrested Jason Martin-Wilson, 43, for driving while intoxicated in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue, involving alcohol and controlled substances. Investigation continues.

Fight

• At 8:29 p.m. Friday, JPD cited and released 38-year-old Fenton Jacobs and 40-year-old Leroy Jacobs in the 1600 block of Davis Avenue for disorderly conduct. Alcohol was a factor.

Fraud

• At 4:12 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the report of fraudulent use of an access device in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 7:41 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the report of a woman, 20, in the 1000 block of 10th Street who reported a hit-and-run that caused damage to her car. Investigation continues with the suspect vehicle description and license plate.

• At 1:49 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the report of a motor vehicle crash in the 1100 block of Calhoun Avenue. Investigation continues.

Probation violation

• At 2:42 p.m. Saturday, JPD arrested Marie Riley, 57, in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road for a parole violation. Riley was additionally charged with driving without a license. Her vehicle was impounded and she was taken to LCCC and held on no bail. Alcohol was a factor.

• At 10:54 p.m. Saturday, JPD arrested Clifford White, 25, in the 200 block of Front Street for violating his conditions of release. Alcohol was a factor. White was taken to LCCC and held on no bail.

Shoplift

• At 3:28 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the report of shoplifting in the 600 block of Willoughby Avenue.

Theft

• At 10:25 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the report of a shoplift from Alaska Cache Liquor in the 100 block of Franklin Street. Alcohol was a factor.

• At 1:40 a.m. Saturday, JPD arrested William Moy Jr., 24, for larceny in the 4400 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 2:21 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the report of a woman, 23, in the 200 block of Troy Avenue who reported that another woman, 27, had stolen her car. Investigation continues.

Vandalism

• At 1:46 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the report of a woman, 70, in the 2800 block of Linda Avenue who reported that a tire on her vehicle was slashed.

• At 10:43 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the report of a man, 45, in the 4300 block of Riverside Drive who reported $1,500 damage to a residential fence. The damage was caused by a vehicle that fled the scene.

Warrant arrest

• At 2:55 p.m. Friday, JPD arrested Michael Starr, 27, in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway for two outstanding Alaska State Troopers warrants. Starr is facing charges of theft in Ketchikan and vehicle theft in Craig, according to online court records. Starr was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held on $6,500 bail.

• At 8:01 p.m. Saturday, JPD arrested Leslie Chilton, 30, in the 3000 block of Vintage Boulevard on a warrant and for providing false information. Chilton is facing charges of theft from June 2017, according to online court records.

Wildlife violation

• On Tuesday, Jan. 16, Tok Wildlife Troopers cited 37-year-old Stanley Sipniewski, of Juneau, for taking a lynx during closed season. Arraignment is scheduled in Tok (about 200 miles southwest of Fairbanks) District Court at 2 p.m. Feb. 8.
