Police calls for Tuesday, May 29, 2018

Conditions violation

• At 2:22 p.m. Saturday, the Juneau Police Department arrested Tyler Trapp, 24, in the 6300 block of Glacier Highway for violating conditions of release. Trapps was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Investigation continues.

Disorderly conduct

• At 9:55 p.m. Saturday, JPD arrested Alejandro Martinez, 49, in the 200 block of Franklin Street for disorderly conduct. Alcohol was a factor. Martinez was taken to LCCC.

Domestic violence

• At 3:08 p.m. Saturday, JPD investigated a domestic violence assault in the Juneau area.

• At 8 p.m. Saturday, JPD arrested a 28-year-old man in the Juneau area for assault. The man was taken to LCCC and held without bail.

Drunken driving

• At 12:54 a.m. Sunday, JPD arrested Selma Tabakovic, 29, in the 3300 block of Egan Drive, for driving under the influence. Tabakovic later provided a breath sample, and her blood-alcohol content was measured at 0.174 percent. Her vehicle was impounded.

Sex crime

• At 1:02 p.m. Saturday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into a sexual assault. Alcohol was a factor.

Theft

• At 6:20 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the 3900 block of Douglas Highway to investigate the report of a vehicle theft that happened sometime Friday or Saturday. Investigation continues.

• At 7:18 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road to investigate the report of a man, 33, who reported a theft.

Vehicle rifling

• At 10:22 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the report of a man on Marine Way who reported his vehicle had been rifled and items had been stolen.

Wildlife violation

• On Wednesday, May 23, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers issued a summons to 37-year-old Hawaii resident Constantine Aldrin for prohibited conduct in regard to crab fishing. Troopers had been sent an anonymous complaint that a man had posted a video of himself diving in the Juneau area and harvesting king crab. Troopers identified the man as Aldrin, who is not a resident of Alaska. There is no open season for non-residents to harvest king crab, according to Alaska regulations. Aldrin appeared in Juneau District Court on May 24 and pleaded no contest for prohibited conduct generally. He was issued a fine of $1,250.

• On Sunday, Juneau-based Alaska Wildlife Troopers spoke with 57-year-old Juneau man Stephen Spring after Spring had returned from a guided sport fishing trip. The Troopers’ investigation found that Spring had failed to correctly complete his saltwater charter logbook while acting as a sport fish guide. Spring was issued a $210 citation in Juneau District Court.
