Police calls for Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018

Assault

• At 11:54 p.m. Saturday, the Juneau Police Department responded to the report of a fight in the 200 block of Front Street. Alcohol was a factor.

Burglary

• At 9:34 a.m. Friday, JPD responded to the 9100 block of Cinema Drive to investigate the report of a 23-year-old man who reported that someone broke into his home and stole an unknown number of items.

• At 10:17 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the 300 block of Gastineau Avenue to investigate the report of a 46-year-old man who reported his home was burglarized.

Child abuse/neglect

• At 8:53 a.m. Sunday, JPD conducted an investigation into the report of child abuse in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

Conditions violation

• At 1:06 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the 100 block of Egan Drive to investigate the report of a 43-year-old woman who reported that a 43-year-old man violated his conditions of release by contacting her.

• At 9:32 p.m. Friday, JPD pulled a car over in the 2400 block of Egan Drive. JPD arrested David Haynes, 43, for violating conditions of release and took him to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. The driver of the car, 56-year-old John Kobbe, was cited and released for driving with a suspended license and the car was impounded.

• At 12:27 a.m. Saturday, JPD arrested 35-year-old woman Vanessa M. Anderson in the area of Marine Way for escape and for violating her conditions of release. She was taken to LCCC.

• At 12:46 a.m. Saturday, JPD attempted to contact a 25-year-old man in a car about the possible violation of conditions of release in the area of Marine Way. The 29-year-old woman driving the car didn’t stop and drove away.

• At 9:23 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the 2000 block of Lemon Creek Road to investigate the report of unlawful contact. Investigation continues.

• At 9:26 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the 2400 block of Douglas Highway to investigate the report of a 57-year-old woman who reported the violation of a stalking protective order.

Domestic violence

• At 1:15 p.m. Thursday, JPD arrested a 24-year-old woman for domestic violence criminal mischief in the Juneau area. The woman was taken to LCCC.

• At 2:35 a.m. Friday, JPD responded to the report of an assault in the Juneau area. Officers spoke with a 45-year-old woman who said she was assaulted by a 59-year-old man. Alcohol was a factor.

• At 12:28 p.m. Saturday, JPD arrested a 31-year-old woman in the Juneau area for domestic violence criminal mischief. The woman was taken to LCCC and held without bail.

Drunken driving

• At 2:35 a.m. Sunday, JPD arrested Austin Hooton, 20, in the 600 block of Ninth Street for driving while intoxicated. Hooton was taken to LCCC.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 1:41 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the report of a motor vehicle crash in the area of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive. A 2000 Ford Focus driven by 18-year-old Nathaniel Hensley-Williams hit a 2007 Nissan driven by a 35-year-old man. Both cars were considered totaled, but no injuries were reported. JPD cited Hensley-Williams for failing to exercise due care to avoid a collision and for not having proof of insurance.

Reckless driving

• At 8:21 p.m. Saturday, JPD arrested Zachary Michael Daniels, 29, in the 2400 block of Egan Drive for reckless driving and resisting arrest. He was taken to LCCC.

Theft

• At 7:38 p.m. Friday, JPD arrested Alesa Abbott, 24, in the area of Lemon Creek Road for theft of services. Abbott was taken to LCCC.

• At 8:51 a.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the report of a 31-year-old woman who reported stolen checks in the Juneau area.

• At 3:40 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the 5200 block of Commercial Boulevard to investigate the report of a 42-year-old man who reported that another man stole a pair of boots, worth an estimated $140, from Costco.

Trespassing

• At 6:45 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the 300 block of Bulger Way to investigate the report of a 66-year-old man who reported there was an open window on a building. JPD responded and found that someone had possibly trespassed in the building.

• At 3:43 p.m. Saturday, JPD arrested Rafael Llamas Flores, 53, in the 200 block of Franklin Street for criminal trespassing. Flores was taken to LCCC.

Vandalism

• At 4:29 p.m. Thursday, JPD documented a broken window in the area of Egan Drive. Damage was estimated at $5,000.

Vehicle rifling

• At 7:26 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the 5000 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of a 36-year-old woman who reported the theft of medications from her car.

• At 8:54 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the 9000 block of Cinema Drive to investigate the report of a 19-year-old man who reported someone broke into his 1991 Toyota MR2 and stole a textbook, a wallet and a knife.

• At 8:10 a.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the 1200 block of Harbor Way to investigate the report of a 37-year-old man who reported his 2004 Pontiac was rifled. Some keys were missing from the car.
