Police calls for Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018

Assault

• At 9:47 a.m. Monday, the Juneau Police Department responded to the 200 block of Franklin Street to investigate the report of a 44-year-old man who reported a 28-year-old man was trespassing at a Franklin Street business.

• At 11:18 a.m. Monday, JPD arrested Travis Ian Johnson, 36, in the 200 block of Franklin Street for fourth-degree assault and violating conditions of release. Johnson was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Conditions violation

• At 5:14 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the 2400 block of Douglas Highway to investigate the report of a 66-year-old man who reported a 54-year-old man violated conditions of release by contacting him. Investigation continues.

Domestic violence

• At 1:42 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the report of a 30-year-old woman who reported a 32-year-old man had vandalized the tires on her Jeep Liberty in the Juneau area.

• At 12:50 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to the report of a 53-year-old man who reported a 29-year-old woman came to his home after being involved in an assault. Investigation continues.

Robbery

• At 10:22 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the 4000 block of Mendenhall Loop Road to investigate the report of a person being robbed. Investigation continues.

Theft

• At 7:05 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to the 3200 block of Mendenhall Loop Road to investigate the report of a 2003 Ford Focus being stolen. The car was later found and returned to its owner.

• At 9:50 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to the 3400 block of Foster Avenue to investigate the report of a 61-year-old man who reported another man had stolen his cellphone the previous night.

• At 11:48 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to the 1500 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of a 60-year-old woman who reported a 49-year-old woman stole her clothing. Investigation continues.

Trespassing

• At 2:17 p.m. Sunday, JPD arrested Brian Elbert Fleming, 30, in the 200 block of Franklin Street for violating conditions of release. Alcohol was a factor. Fleming was taken to LCCC.

Warrant arrest

• At 8:09 p.m. Sunday, JPD arrested Micah Nelson, 27, in the 10600 block of Glacier Highway on two felony warrants for probation and parole violations, and a $250 misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court. Nelson is also a person of interest in a shooting that happened on Thanksgiving. See Tuesday’s A1 for more.

Weapons misconduct

• At 5:36 p.m. Sunday, JPD arrested Matthew Sterling Cunningham, 21, in the 8200 block of Garnet Street for misconduct involving weapons and resisting arrest. Cunningham was taken to LCCC.
