Police calls for Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019

Assault

• At 1:23 p.m. Sunday, the Juneau Police Department responded to the 800 block of 12th Street to investigate the report of a 57-year-old woman who reported a 73-year-old man assaulted her. Alcohol was a factor.

Burglary

• At 11:16 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to the 3600 block of Amalga Street to investigate the report of a burglary.

Child abuse/neglect

• At 5:50 a.m. Sunday, JPD conducted a confidential investigation into the report of child abuse in the Juneau area.

Conditions violation

• At 12:33 a.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the 2400 block of Douglas Highway to investigate the report of a 66-year-old man who reported that a 54-year-old man violated conditions of a protective order.

• At 3:39 p.m. Saturday, JPD arrested Marilyn Jean Willard, 49, in the 100 block of Franklin Street for violating conditions of release. Alcohol was a factor.

• At 8:01 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the 2400 block of Douglas Highway to investigate the report of a 66-year-old man who reported a 54-year-old man violated conditions of release.

• At 6:58 p.m. Sunday, JPD arrested Eddy Renee Rodriguez, 45, in the 300 block of Willoughby Avenue for violating conditions of release and resisting arrest. Alcohol was a factor. Rodriguez was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Disturbance

• At 10:07 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the area of Delta Drive to investigate the report of a disturbance. One person was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital for evaluation.

Domestic violence

• At 2:25 a.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the report of a 40-year-old woman in the Juneau area who reported being assaulted by a 42-year-old man.

• At 4:41 p.m. Sunday, JPD arrested a 36-year-old man in the Juneau area for third-degree assault and criminal mischief. He was taken to LCCC.

• At 7:26 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to the report of a conditions violation in the Juneau area.

• At 10:55 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to the report of a 39-year-old man who reported the theft of a gun and a checkbook in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

Harassment

• At 8:30 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the 1800 block of Shell Simmons Drive to investigate the report of harassment involving a man and woman while on board an airplane.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 4:37 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the 6500 block of Egan Drive to investigate a three-vehicle crash. A 27-year-old woman, who was driving a 2013 Toyota Corolla, was cited for speeding. The other two vehicles involved were a 2007 GMC pickup driven by a 39-year-old man and a 2015 Subaru Outback driven by a 42-year-old man. Two of the vehicles were towed and the other left under its own power.

• At 7:34 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the 3300 block of Nowell Avenue to investigate the report of a 38-year-old man who reported his parked Dodge Challenger was hit by an unknown vehicle.

• At 10:18 a.m. Monday, JPD responded to the area of Shattuck Way to investigate the report of a hit and run.

Shoplifting

• At 11:22 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the 3300 block of Douglas Highway to investigate the report of shoplifting.

Theft

• At 1:08 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the 5600 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of a 41-year-old man who reported money stolen from inside a business. The victim didn’t pursue charges.

• At 7:20 p.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the 6500 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of a stolen vehicle that was later recovered.

• At 3:38 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the 3700 block of Amalga Street to investigate the report of a 42-year-old man who reported his 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 was stolen. The car was later recovered.

• At 3:38 a.m. Sunday, the State of Alaska’s Pretrial Enforcement Division arrested Charity Jean Berkley, 28, in the 3700 block of Amalga Street for violating conditions of release. Berkley was taken to LCCC.

• At 6:59 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the 800 block of 12th Street to investigate the report of a 73-year-old man who reported a 57-year-old woman had stolen from him.

• At 12:46 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive to investigate the report of a 28-year-old man who reported the theft of a pistol that was worth an estimated $900.

• At 12:10 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the 5200 block of Commercial Boulevard to investigate the report of a 50-year-old man who reported the theft of a DeWalt sawzall (worth an estimated $140), a skilsaw ($140) and a tool box with hand tools ($50) stolen from a Toyota pickup.

• At 2:34 p.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the 1800 block of Central Avenue to investigate the report of a 45-year-old man who reported the theft of a Mossberg shotgun worth an estimated $200.

Trespassing

• At 9:05 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to the 200 block of Franklin Street to investigate the report of a 25-year-old man who reported that a 32-year-old woman trespassed at a business.

• At 8:50 a.m. Monday, JPD cited and released James Newman, 18, in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway for criminal trespass.

Vehicle rifling

• At 2:01 a.m. Saturday, JPD responded to the 6500 block of Glacier Highway to investigate the report of a 42-year-old man who reported his car was rifled.

• At 6:30 a.m. Sunday, JPD responded to the 1400 block of Harbor Way to investigate the report of a 29-year-old man who reported his 2008 Toyota was broken into and items valued at an estimated $2,000 were taken.

Warrant arrest

• At 12:18 a.m. Saturday, JPD arrested Tyler James Phillips, 24, in the 200 block of Franklin Street for three outstanding JPD warrants totaling $300. The original charges were fraud, violating conditions of release and damage to property. Phillips was also charged with third-degree weapons misconduct and resisting arrest. Phillips was taken to LCCC.

• At 8:06 p.m. Friday, JPD arrested Cole Bottleson, 27, in the 1800 block of Shell Simmons Drive on a $2,000 Alaska State Troopers warrant. Bottleson was taken to LCCC.
