Disturbance

• At 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department responded to a report of a disturbance on Franklin Street.

• At 1:16 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to a reported disturbance in the 100 block of Marine Way.

Drug activity

• At 9:17 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to a report of drug activity in the Juneau area.

Drunken driving

• At 11:33 p.m. Wednesday, JPD arrested Josef Quitsland for DWI and vandalism; the vehicle he was driving was impounded.

Fire and medical

• On Thursday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to 13 EMS calls and five medical transports in the area throughout the day. At 1:13 p.m., firefighters responded to a smoke complaint on Glacier Highway; the property owner was found to have a burn permit and was burning cleanly. At 11:22 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to smoke and ash on Island View Drive, but found no sign of smoke or fire.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 10:19 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a motor vehicle crash in the 16800 block of Glacier Highway; investigation continues.

Theft

• At 12:09 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a report of larceny of money in the 100 block of Gastineau Avenue.

• At 1:02 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a reported theft in the 2800 block of Riverside Drive; investigation continues.

• At 2:58 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a report that a Skilsaw worth $400 was stolen from a job site in the 9000 block of Glacier Highway.

Trespassing

• At 9:36 p.m. Wednesday, JPD responded to a trespassing report in the 3400 block of Glacier Highway.

• At 11:33 a.m. Thursday, JPD cited Odas Fambo, 76, for trespass in the 200 block of Franklin Street.

Vehicle rifling

• At 12:23 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report from a 31-year-old man in the 1700 block of Douglas Highway that his vehicle had been rifled and a phone charger, gloves and miscellaneous items were taken.

• At 9:32 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to a report of trespass into a vehicle in the 400 block of Whittier Street.

Vehicle theft

• At 2:54 a.m. Thursday, JPD responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 13400 block of Glacier Highway.
