Assault
• At 7:02 p.m. Wednesday, the Juneau Police Department investigated an assault in the 300 block of Franklin Street. Alcohol was involved.
• At 9:17 p.m. Wednesday, JPD received a report of an assault at Sealaska Plaza. The suspect, a 52-year-old man, was identified, but the male victim did not want to cooperate with the investigation or be identified. Alcohol was involved.
Burglary
• At 1:07 p.m. Wednesday, JPD investigated a criminal trespass and theft in the 800 block of 12th Street.
Drunken driving
• At 9:54 p.m. Wednesday, Steve Anderson, 37, was arrested for driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test in the 3300 block of Egan Drive. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and later released on his own recognizance.
• At 11:57 p.m. Wednesday, Brandon Church, 28, was arrested for DUI after he crashed his car into a tree in the 700 block of St. Anns Avenue. He blew a 0.143 percent breath alcohol content level on the Datamaster. His vehicle was impounded, and he was taken to LCCC. He was later released on his own recognizance.
Shoplift
• At 2:27 p.m. Wednesday, Christopher Jim, 38, and Carolyn Peterson, 32, were cited and released for larceny after taking $600 in merchandise from the Midnight Sun Gift Shop in the 100 block of Franklin Street.
Theft
• At 6:40 a.m. Thursday, Christopher Denzmore, 24, was cited and released for larceny after he took $125 from a woman’s wallet in the 300 block of Whittier Street.
Vandalism
• At 5:37 p.m. Wednesday, JPD investigated a report of vandalism in the 1400 block of Harbor Way.
Vehicle rifling
• At 8:38 p.m. Wednesday, JPD investigated a vehicle rifling and theft on Sunny Drive.
• At 8:36 a.m. Thursday, a 40-year-old woman reported her vehicle was rifled in the 800 block of F Street. Approximately $1 in change was stolen, and her glove box was damaged.
