Police & fire for Thursday, April 21, 2016

Assault

• At 7:14 p.m. Tuesday, the Juneau Police Department received a report of assault in the 100 block of Marine Way. Investigation continues.

Domestic dispute

• At 11:12 p.m. Monday, JPD received a report of a domestic violence assault in the Juneau area.

• At 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of a domestic violence protective order violation in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

• At 2:51 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of domestic violence in the Juneau area. Alcohol was involved.

Fire and medical

• On Tuesday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to six EMS calls, two calls about illegal open burns, two fire alarms related to burned food, two transport calls, one false fire alarm and a unit assisted with an oil spill on Rheinhardt Street.

• At 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, a 29-year-old man reported two of his tires had been slashed in relation to a domestic violence issue. The tires are valued at approximately $500.

Fraud

• At 4:39 p.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of fraud in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.

Drunken driving

• At 11:09 p.m. Tuesday, JPD arrested Kenneth William Young, 53, for driving under the influence in the 9300 block of Glacier Highway. His breath alcohol content was .162 percent.

Minor consuming

• At 3:31 a.m. Wednesday, JPD cited a 17-year-old boy for consuming alcohol in the 200 block of Marine Way. He was released to his parents.

Theft

• At 8:29 a.m. Wednesday, a 51-year-old man reported parts of his bicycle were stolen in the 8600 block of Teal Street.

Trespassing

• At 10:14 a.m. Wednesday, JPD cited and released Elizabeth Gray, 53, for criminal trespassing on Egan Drive. Alcohol was involved.

Vandalism

• At 5:35 p.m. Monday, JPD received a report of vandalism in the 1800 block of Glacier Avenue. Approximately $5 worth of damage occurred.

• At 9:24 a.m. Tuesday, a 36-year-old man reported vandalism to a business property in the 4000 block of Thane Road.
