Child abuse/neglect
• At 9:47 a.m. Tuesday, the Juneau Police Department received a report of child abuse on a city bus in the Juneau area. Investigation continues.
Domestic disturbance
• At 6:18 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to a domestic dispute for documentation purposes.
• At 11:33 a.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a domestic disturbance between a 55-year-old man and a 24-year-old man.
Fire and medical
• On Tuesday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to six EMS calls, a carbon monoxide alarm at a building on Simpson Avenue that revealed a boiler air handling unit was dissipating carbon monoxide throughout the building, and a single-vehicle accident on Mendenhall Loop Road. At the scene of the accident, CCFR found that the male occupant had exited the vehicle, which was off the road in a marshy area and was upside down partially submerged under water. The man was checked for injuries and provided First Aid. He declined further medical services by CCFR, and he was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital in a personal vehicle.
Motor vehicle crash
• At 8 a.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a damage-only vehicle accident in the 9100 block of Douglas Highway.
• At 8:57 a.m. Tuesday, JPD responded to a rollover accident on Mendenhall Loop Road near Montana Creek Road. Alcohol was not involved.
Theft
• At 12:03 p.m. Monday, JPD received a report of prescription medication theft in the 9900 block of Stephens Richards Memorial Drive.
• At 4:37 p.m. Monday, a 19-year-old woman reported her blue-and-yellow wallet stolen in the 11700 block of Glacier Highway.
• At 8:16 a.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of vehicle theft in the 9200 block of Gee Street. Investigation continues.
Warrant Arrest
• At 9:10 a.m. Wednesday, Alaska State Troopers contacted a 16-year-old girl at a resident treatment center in Juneau. Investigation revealed the girl had a warrant for her arrest for an original charge of misconduct involving controlled substances in the fourth-degree. She was arrested and taken to the Johnson Youth Facility without incident.
