Burglary
• At 8 a.m. Tuesday, the Juneau Police Department received a report of a burglary downtown in the 500 block of Eighth Street.
• At 8:48 a.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of a burglary and a stolen laptop from a business in the 200 block of Franklin Street.
Child abuse/neglect
• At 10:51 p.m. Monday, JPD responded to a welfare check of a child at Juneau International Airport.
• At 11:01 a.m. Tuesday, confidential investigation into a report of child abuse in the Juneau area.
Criminal mischief/Disorderly conduct
• At 7:15 p.m. Monday, a 16-year-old girl was arrested for criminal mischief and disorderly conduct in the 10800 block of Black Bear Road. She allegedly damaged property, valued at $100, and threw objects at people. Alcohol was not involved.
Fire and medical
• On Tuesday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to six EMS calls around town throughout the day, three medical transport calls, a call to Front Street at 1:41 p.m. that was canceled en route, a report of a garage fire on Channel Vista Drive at 1:43 p.m. that CCFR crews extinguished upon arrival, a fire alarm on Egan and Riverside Drives at 2:38 p.m. that was triggered by dust from building construction, a fire alarm on Salmon Creek Lane at 5:21 p.m. that was triggered by a child pulling the alarm, and a fire alarm on Glacier Highway at 8:51 and 10:54 p.m. that ended up being caused by a malfunctioning boiler.
Sexual abuse of a minor
• At 12:22 p.m. Monday, confidential investigation into a report of sexual abuse of a minor.
Shoplift
• At 3:31 p.m. Monday, JPD received a report of a possible shoplifter in the 9100 block of Mendenhall Mall Road.
• At 4:23 p.m. Monday, JPD received a report of a theft from a business in the 9900 block of Glacier Highway.
Theft
• At 2:36 p.m. Monday, JPD received a report of a stolen generator from a boat in the 100 block of Savikko Road.
• At 10:49 a.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of a theft of a wallet in the Juneau area and the fraudulent use of a credit card.
• At 11:35 a.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of a theft from a business in the 8300 block of Airport Boulevard.
• At 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, JPD received a report of theft in the 300 block of Distin Avenue.
• At 11:57 a.m. Tuesday, JPD investigated a report of theft of money orders in the 1300 block of 4th Street.
Vehicle rifling
• At 10:11 a.m. Tuesday, a 31-year-old woman reported her 1997 Jeep was rifled through on Seventh Street. Nothing was reported missing from the vehicle.
• At 11:05 a.m. Tuesday, a 31-year-old man reported his unlocked vehicle was rifled in the 100 block of Seventh Street and items of unknown value were taken.
