Burglary

• At 11:57 a.m. Saturday, the Juneau Police Department responded to a report of a burglary in the 300 block of Whittier Street; theft investigation continues.

Child abuse

•At 4:42 p.m. Friday, JPD received a report of child abuse in the Juneau area; investigation continues.

• At 9:57 p.m. Friday, JPD received a report of child abuse or neglect in the Juneau area.

Disturbance

• At 12:12 pm. Friday, JPD responded to a reported shoplifting and disturbance in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway and arrested Daniel Galos for larceny, assault and criminal mischief. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center to be released on his own recognizance.

Domestic violence

• At 11:37 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to a report of domestic violence in the Juneau area; investigation continues.

• At 1:32 a.m. Saturday, JPD arrested a man in the Juneau area for domestic violence criminal mischief.

Fight

• At 11:21 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to a report of a fight in the 100 block of Franklin Street.

• At 2:35 a.m. Saturday, JPD responded to a report of a fight in the 200 block of Front Street; investigation continues into minor consuming alcohol.

Fishing without license

• On Thursday, Alaska Wildlife Troopers in Juneau contacted Steven Whitney, 49, for personal use fishing for cockles. Whitney reportedly had not obtained a sport fishing license for 2017; he was cited with a bail amount of $210.

Fire and medical

• On Thursday, Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to four EMS callas and three medical transports in the area throughout the day. At 9:08 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to an active fire alarm on Front Street; no sign of smoke or fire was found. At 9:57 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a vehicle fire on Dogwood Lane, which had been extinguished by the owner.

Harassment

• At 4:21 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to a harassment report on the 1000 block of Salmon Creek Lane; investigation continues.

Stolen vehicle

• At 8:52 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle in the middle of the intersection in the 5100 block of View Drive. The vehicle subsequently was reported as stolen.

Theft

• At 7:57 p.m. Friday, JPD responded to a report of a theft in the 200 block of Franklin Street; investigation continues.

Trespassing

• At 10:24 a.m. Saturday, JPD received a trespassing report in the 500 block of Franklin Street; investigation continues.
