Police & Fire for Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017

Assault

• At 10 a.m. Friday, the Juneau Police Department investigated a disturbance between two teens in the 2400 block of O’Day Drive.

• At 2:26 p.m. Friday, JPD received a report of an assault with a weapon downtown. Investigation continues.

• At 7:26 p.m. Friday, a 41-year-old man was arrested for domestic violence assault. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center. Alcohol was involved.

Burglary

• At 3:26 p.m. Friday, a 53-year-old man reported the theft of $7,500 worth of video equipment in the 1200 block of Salmon Creek Lane.

Criminal trespass/assault

• At 10:08 p.m. Thursday, JPD responded to a report of criminal trespass and assault. Domestic violence related. Alcohol was involved.

Driving with revoked license

• At 7:11 p.m. Thursday, Adam Poprycz was arrested for driving with a license revoked, false information and resisting arrest on Hospital Drive. He was taken to LCCC and additionally charged for a probation violation. Alcohol was not involved.

Domestic dispute

• At 12:34 a.m. Saturday, JPD investigated a domestic disturbance. Alcohol was involved.

Drunken driving

• At 3:17 a.m. Saturday, Michael Howard was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a revoked license. His breath sample read 0.170, and he was taken to LCCC.

Fraud

• At 4:49 p.m. Thursday, fraudulent charges were reported on a Paypal account in the Juneau area.

Harassment

• At 10:47 p.m. Thursday, JPD received a report of harassment in the 2200 block of Trout Street. Alcohol was involved.

Minor consuming

• At 1:13 a.m. Friday, JPD officers contacted a vehicle in the 200 block of Franklin Street because Austin Peterson, 19, was hanging outside the passenger window and screaming. Peterson was cited for minor consuming alcohol and provided a breath sample of 0.105 percent. He was given a warning to wear his seatbelt.

Motor vehicle crash

• At 7:04 a.m. Saturday, a man reported a hit-and-run involving a company vehicle in the 2500 block of Douglas Highway.

Sex crime

• At 2:09 p.m. Friday, JPD investigated a reported sexual assault on a minor.

Shoplifting

• At 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Timothy Earl Ebona, 40, was arrested for larceny at a business in the 8700 block of Glacier Highway. He was taken to LCCC.

Theft

• At 3:02 p.m. Thursday, a 39-year-old man reported approximately $12 worth of gasoline siphoned from his vehicle in the night in the 9000 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive.

• At 6:01 p.m. Thursday, a 50-year-old man reported the theft of a license plate from his vehicle in the 8400 block of Mendenhall Loop Road.

• At 12:59 a.m. Friday, a 47-year-old man reported a theft in the 3400 block of Nowell Avenue.

• At 10:38 a.m. Friday, a 53-year-old man reported a Christmas light projector valued at $50 was taken from outside his residence on Julep Street.

• At 10:20 p.m. Friday, JPD received a report of theft from a boat in the 1400 block of Harbor Way. Investigation continues.

• At 9:38 a.m. Saturday, a 57-year-old woman reported the theft of her laser Christmas light projector (valued at $30, from outside her residence.

Vehicle rifling

• At 2:45 p.m. Thursday, a 45-year-old woman reported her vehicle was rifled through on Tuesday night in the 100 block of Behrends Avenue. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.
