ANCHORAGE — A 32-year-old suspect has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder and burglary in the shooting death of a man at a southeast Anchorage home.
Anchorage police said Trayvon Morrissette was held in the death Monday night of 30-year-old Jorge Rea-Villa.
The men knew each other but police don’t know a motive for the shooting at a holiday barbeque.
Rea-Village suffered gunshot wounds and was declared dead inside the home.
Witnesses say Morrissette after the shooting fled in a tan sedan.
Police said he broke into one apartment and attempted to break into others. Police found Morrissett in a stairwell.
He’s jailed at the Anchorage jail with bail set at $500,000.
Online court documents do not list an attorney for Morrissett.
