KODIAK — Police in Kodiak have arrested Washington state man suspected in a shooting death at a city harbor.
The Kodiak Police Department in an announcement says the 28-year-old suspect is in custody on suspicion of first-degree murder. Online court documents on the incident had not been filed as of early Monday.
Police say they received a report at 12:40 a.m. Sunday that a man had been shot at Saint Herman Harbor.
Officers found a 28-year-old man bleeding from several gunshot wounds. Several witnesses also were on hand.
The wounded man was rushed to Providence Kodiak Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His name was not immediately released because his next of kin had not been notified.
