Donald Trump has qualified for the Alaska Republican Party’s March 1 primary, the party announced by email Monday.
“It is my great honor to be accepted to be on the ballot in Alaska,” Trump said in a statement released by the Alaska Republican Party.
Trump is the fifth mainstream candidate to join the Republican primary in Alaska. Ohio Gov. John Kasich, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Texas U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz have also qualified.
