ANCHORAGE — A 46-year-old western Alaska woman is in custody after a shooting that left a man wounded.
Mara Daniels of the village of Elim is charged with felony assault and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.
She is jailed in Nome.
Alaska State Troopers on Saturday morning took a report of a man with a gunshot wound in Elim and their investigation led to the arrest of Daniels.
The name of the wounded man was not released.
Online court records do not list an attorney for Daniels.
Elim is a village of 340 on the Seward Peninsula 96 miles east of Nome.
